System transformation is a key part of VCH and PHC’s strategic framework. To build a stronger, more sustainable health system it is imperative that our organizations not only work more closely together but also work hand-in-hand to find opportunities for innovation, change and best practices.
That is why we have established a new partnered position on our Senior Executive Teams – Vice President of Clinical and Systems Transformation. Reporting to both of us, the VP will provide executive leadership to the clinical and systems transformation initiative across VCH and PHC.
Susan Wannamaker has accepted this challenging new role, effective June 11. Susan brings tremendous clinical and strategic leadership to the position, most recently as Chief Operating Officer for Richmond. As VP of Clinical and Systems Transformation, Susan will take on many responsibilities including the development of our clinical and systems transformation vision as well as ensure that our ongoing clinical systems are upgraded and modified to suit the needs of caregivers. She will also work closely on behalf of VCH and PHC with the Provincial Health Services Authority Information Management Information Technology Services group and Health Shared Services BC Technology Services in the design, implementation and maintenance of IT-based applications solutions and services.
