As part of the UBC Faculty of Medicine Distributed Education programs at Providence Health Care, the St Paul’s Library renovation is now complete and the library officially opened on Monday, March 17th.
A card reader on the main library door will provide all UBC medical students, residents, fellows and all PHC staff holding PHC photo ID cards with 24/7 access to the space.
The UBC Faculty of Medicine has renovated the space into a study and learning commons. It consists of two education / training rooms, one quiet room, and a variety of study and common spaces including a mix of desks, chairs and lounge-type seating.
Education room #1 has a large display monitor and flex seating for 16-22. This room must be booked prior to use. To book the room, please contact George Gemmell in the Media Service Centre at firstname.lastname@example.org or 604-806-8564.
Education room #2 (seating for 6), Quiet Room and Study Stations do not require booking and can be used on a first come, first served basis.
There will be one computer available for use with PHC intranet access, along with a set of lockers.
No food or drinks are allowed in the library.
