St. Paul's Hospital is pleased to host Dr. Lap-Chee Tsui, who will be giving a special presentation to celebrate the progress of the care of Cystic Fibrosis patients

Dr. Tsui is a renowned researcher in the area of Cystic Fibrosis and has greatly impacted the lives of patients with CF. One of Dr. Tsui's accomplishments is the discovery of the delta F508 mutation in the Cystic Fibrosis Transmembrane Conductance Regulator (CFTR) gene, which is responsible for over 80% of CF cases. Dr.Tsui received the Order of Canada in 1991 and was inducted into the Canadian Medical Hall of Fame in 2012. In 2014, he received the Henry G. Friezen International Prize in Health Research.
