PHC Medical Staff Extraordinary Meeting June 9th

The Medical Staff Executive Committee of Providence Health Care has decided to replace the scheduled June 9 Medical Staff Quarterly meeting with an extraordinary meeting to discuss CST(Clinical Systems Transformation/Cerner) and related IMITS (Information Management Information Technology Services) issues.

Given that CST has now begun in earnest, it is critical that medical staff attend this meeting in order to have an open conversation with the CST and IMITS teams.
The objective is to understand and have meaningful input into these strategies, understand what is currently in and out of scope for CST, relay experiences either positive or negative about engagement in CST to date, provide feedback about  IMITS services, and have an opportunity to learn about the experience with Cerner from colleagues from neighboring institutions who have used this system.

The MSEC wishes to encourage broad participation by the Medical Staff, rather than participation only by the vocal few.

The meeting will start promptly at 1700, and end by 1830.

Provisional agenda:

1.  Overview of IMITS strategy (15 min)
-   Barry Rivelis, Chief Information Officer, PHSA/VCH/PHC

2.  Q/A on IMITS strategy

3.  Overview of CST (15 min)
-    Dr. Bruce Long, CST Chief Medical Information Officer, VCH/PHC

4.  Open Forum
