How Do We Bring Patient and Family Centered Care into Critical Care?

Dr. Paul Boucher is Clinical Assistant Professor Departments of Critical Care Medicine,Faculty of medicine, University of Calgary.  He is also the Medical Director of the Cardiovascular ICU at Foothills Hospital.  he has servied as Co-Chair of the Patient and Family Centered Care Committee for the past three years.  Community members and a wide variety of professionals service on this committee, which is tasked with improving the quality of care in the adult Intensive Care Units in Calgary through quality improvement projects surrounding end-of-life care and patient and family satisfaction.
