Over the weekend of January 28th and 29th, all Providence Health Care sites underwent a 3M Softmed upgrade to better position the organization for the upcoming Desktop Transformation Project which will see the organization move from XP desktops to Windows 7 desktops.
While the 3M SoftMed upgrade is now complete, and we are hearing that viewing of scanned charts via SCM has improved, we are also aware that there are a number of clinical areas that have been, or still are, impacted from the upgrade to the 3M SoftMed software.
We would like to assure staff that our project teams are still working hard to identify and resolve these issues, and our staff will continue working full force until such time as all major issues impacting care are addressed.
Please check your email for further information from the Service Desk regarding issues resolutions. Please ensure computers are logged off but left on over the weekend.
