Elevator at SPH out of service for modernization
Starting July 17, 2013, we will be taking the P1 Link Elevator (located in the link area connecting the Burrard and Providence buildings) out of service for upgrades and modernization. We anticipate work on this elevator will be complete by August 2013.
Staff, medical staff and patients/visitors will not be able to use this elevator until upgrades are complete.
What you will notice while the P1 link elevator is being modernized:
- The 4th floor garden cannot be accessed using the p1 elevator while it is being upgraded. Please use the elevators in the Providence Tower elevator bank to access the 4th floor garden.
- The P2 link elevator will continue to be operational while the P1 link is undergoing modernization.
Our priority: ensuring safety of staff, patients and visitors
We will be working with hospital leadership and staff to minimize impact to everyday work as much as possible and ensure there are no impacts to patient care or safety. We thank you for your patience as we continue with this work.
