From November 24 to 29 this year, Accreditation Canada will visit Providence Health Care’s acute and residential sites, ambulatory clinics, administrative sites and select community dialysis clinics to conduct the 2013 Accreditation Survey.
Excellence everyday = continuous readiness for Accreditation
By participating in the quality improvement activities that happen every day in your department or program area, you can ensure that you are always ready for accreditation.
To help ensure continuous readiness for Accreditation, and therefore preparation for November’s Accreditation Survey, some activities have been happening:
- Program-based accreditation preparation
Key leads have been identified to help lead accreditation preparation activities for each program area. These leaders have been having conversations about Accreditation during team meetings, safety huddles, and hosting education initiatives (games, education days, etc).
- Internal tracer program
Tracers have been a great way to help ensure our continuous focus on quality and improvement. You may have seen some of your peers running “Accreditation Tracers,” or have been asked questions a surveyor would be asking during their visit. Stay tuned for more opportunities to participate in tracers in the months to come.
